The Navnath Sampradaya, also known as the Navnath Parampara, is a distinguished Hindu tradition rooted in the lineage of the nine Naths associated with the Nath Sampradaya. Scholarly interpretations suggest that Nath Gurus advocate that creation emerges from nada (sound) and bindu (light), with Shiva representing the Supreme Reality from which these principles originate. According to their teachings, liberation entails merging the soul with Shiva, reflecting Hindu philosophy's view of Shiva and Vishnu as two aspects of a singular reality; this process is achieved through laya (dissolution of ego). Despite these metaphysical assertions, Nath Gurus typically engage their followers through practical and uncomplicated teachings.

As a significant text within Maharashtra, it is composed in Marathi and is thought to provide benefits to readers’ minds, souls, and bodies when approached with certain practices.
